PCSD

Kindergarten - Extended Day

Registration for the 2013-14 School Year

The Kinder Connections program provides an opportunity for kindergartners to attend school the same hours as children in grades 1-5, as they expand their academic skills. The program includes instruction in science, social studies and art, as well as reinforcing math and language arts skills. Kinder Connections gives children the opportunity to explore and create as they adjust to academic rigor of school. This program is available at Parley's Park, Jeremy Ranch and Trailside Elementary Schools.

Click on the forms below for more information about the program, including the fees. This program is self supporting; no PCSD K-12 funds are used to support this program. Each school needs to meet the minimum number of students in order for this program to be available at that school.

Special instructions for out of district families: if you are not currently living in the PCSD service area, you need to fill out an open enrollment form to apply to attend school in PCSD and submit that to the District Office. This flow chart explains the process.

PLEASE NOTE: the open enrollment form may be included with your Kinder Connections registration, and Community Education will forward to the District Office to be processed. In other words, you can apply to go to PCSD with an open enrollment form and apply for Kinder Connections with Kinder Connections forms and turn in together.

Important reminder: be sure to register at your school for the regular Kindergarten program. Filling out Kinder Connections forms is not considered registering for your school!
