Park City After-School Program
The Park City After-School Program is held on school days, starting at the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. Students in grades K-5 who attend Jeremy Ranch, Trailside, McPolin and Parley’s Park Elementary Schools are eligible to participate. These programs are coordinated through Park City Community Education, Park City Education Foundation, Promise Park City and Holy Cross Ministries. The goal is to provide a safe, educational and enriching environment for children while providing a quality child care option for parents.
People needing full-time enrollment, Monday – Friday, will be given first registration priority. Part-time enrollment, Monday – Thursday or Friday only, is available if space permits. Payments are made to the Park City School District on a monthly basis. For information on the cost of the 2017-18 program, call or email the Community Education office.
Each day includes homework time, snack time, enrichment activity, active play and quiet time. There will be at least one special activity each month, which may include a Friday field trip or a special guest presentation. There is behavior code contract that parents and children need to sign.
The programs are staffed with fully qualified, trained teachers and specialists who follow national after-school standards. Parents who are interested in observing the camp prior to enrollment are encouraged to stop by during camp hours and speak with the teachers.

About Holy Cross Ministries
Holy Cross Ministries (HCM) is a non-profit organization in Utah that responds to the underserved community’s need for health and wellbeing.
Holy Cross Ministries’ history of providing services to vulnerable families in this community dates back to 1875, when the first two sisters of the Holy Cross arrived to establish a hospital for injured miners and railroad workers. In their first three months of service, they opened a hospital and a grade school. They established an innovative prepaid health plan for miners in which participants contributed $1 a month while in good health, which entitled them to free admission.
Over the years, as the healthcare environment and delivery system in the United States became more complex, the sisters decided to move away from the acute hospital setting and to look at new and innovative ways to reach out to the underserved and under-insured.
In 1994, the Sisters created Holy Cross Ministries (a 501c3 nonprofit organization) to continue their tradition of compassionate service. Today, Holy Cross Ministries continues to serve the poor, underserved and marginalized, through health outreach, education, and legal services.
In 2000, HCM’s Education Director, Sister Mary Ann Pajakowski, CSC, identified a need in Summit County to provide out-of-school-time academic and enrichment activities for underserved children who couldn’t access the high cost extracurricular activities available in Park City School District. Holy Cross Ministries has been providing education programming ever since, adapting to the evolving needs of the community.
