Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) in Schools Notice
This information is being published to comply with the requirements of 40 CFR 763 Subpart E, "asbestos containing materials (ACM) in schools." This regulation, commonly known as "AHERA," requires schools to perform certain tasks in regards to the presence and control of asbestos-containing materials in the buildings under the jurisdiction of the school district.
As mandated by federal regulation, the school must notify parents/guardians/students in writing about the existence and location of AHERA School Management Plans, for individual school buildings, regardless of the existence of ACM at the school. The Management Plan is available for review during regular working hours at the school office. A Copy of the Management Plan will be made, on request, for a nominal fee to cover the cost of copying and handling.
