Internet Filtering

In accordance with school policies and state and federal laws, we take measures to ensure that students' access to the Internet is restricted from any obscene or inappropriate content. However, as the Internet is a vast platform, it is impossible to control all the content that is available online and an industrious person may discover inappropriate information. Therefore, we encourage all students and staff to use the school's network resources in a responsible, ethical, and legal manner.

Preapproved Content Filtering System

In accordance with Utah law, the District provides a preapproved content filtering system for any student electronic device upon the express written request of the student's parent or legal guardian. Once active, this system will restrict the student's device access exclusively to online resources and websites preapproved by the Board or District administration.

  • Parents should contact their school to request that their student be added to the preapproved content list
  • The resources available on the preapproved content list shall be approved by the school administrator and the Executive Director of Data and Technology

Parent-accessible Monitoring System

The District provides a parent-accessible monitoring system. This platform allows parents or legal guardians to independently review their student's web history, application logs, and general online activity on all school-managed or school-issued electronic devices.

  • Parents should contact their school in order to request access to their student’s online activity.
