    “I like sharing my passion for science with students to show them that there is a world around them and more to discover,” said Kopish. “I like seeing the excitement in the kids and challenging them to open their eyes to different areas of science and watch them gain confidence in STEM.”

    PCSD's After-School service project supports Nuzzles and Co Adoption Center

    After-school students enrolled in Camp Hawk participated in a community service project to support Nuzzles and Co-Adoption Center on March 10 at Jeremy Ranch Elementary. “I wanted to do a project that resonates more with elementary school children, and what better than animals, said Helen Hanahan, after-school coordinator.

    It’s all about the team

    Two Juniors earned state champion status:  Izzy Morris in Varsity Lincoln Douglas, a debate format modeled after the famous 1958 debate between the Illinois Democratic Senator Stephen Douglas and the Republican challenger Abraham Lincoln - and Noah Canada in Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking, where debaters are presented a choice of three questions on international current events and are then given 30 minutes to research and prepare for a seven-minute speech.

    PCHS Student Wins Skimo World Championship

    A PCHS junior, Briley competed in four categories and ultimately won the U18 individual race category for ski mountaineering, which is simply climbing and skiing mountains. He completed the course with a time of 54:44.4; the next closest competitor was a minute and twenty-one seconds behind his pace.
