Guided by the mission of the Park City School School District “to inspire and support all students equitably to achieve their academic and social potential,” the PCSD Board of Education adopted Educational Equity Policy 1006 on June 20, 2023. Crafted with expertise over time and enriched by the input of stakeholders, this policy was developed with a vision to create a thriving learning environment that fosters growth for all students, irrespective of their socioeconomic status, race, or cultural background. Education Equity Policy 1006 affirms the PCSD's commitment for every student to have the educational opportunities to learn and thrive.
Under this policy, the Park City School District is reaffirming efforts to ensure equitable access to quality and culturally relevant education resources that respect individual identities, cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. The policy reinforces PCSD’s long-standing commitments to fair resource allocation, appropriate support, training to address bias and promote belonging, and active engagement with parents and the community.
Adopting this policy represents PCSD’s continued commitment to inspiring and supporting all students equitably so that all students have access and opportunity to achieve their full academic and social potential.
Our Park City community’s support is invaluable as we strive for the success of all of our students.
