OREM, Utah — Park City High School’s Class of 2025 Sterling Scholars delivered an outstanding performance at the Regional Sterling Scholar Competition held March 10, 2025 at Utah Valley University (UVU). The 16 Sterling Scholars represented PCHS with exceptional talent, earning recognition in eight of the 16 categories, including three first-place awards.
David Bradford, Nathan Contreras, and Sutton Hull were named first-place winners in their respective categories, highlighting the depth of talent within the PCHS student body. Additionally, five students were named as runners-up, further showcasing the school’s academic and extracurricular excellence.
Marcella Woolley, Kate Johnson, Harries Lloyd, Toryn Lewis, and Katie Kurchinski earned runner-up honors.
"This group in particular has been exceptionally impressive, energetic, kind, encouraging, inclusive, and fun to work with,” said Pepper Elliot, Scholarship Advisor at Park City High School. “They took care of each other and reached out to connect with their peers from other high schools, showing our region a glimpse of how incredible students are from Park City High School."
The Sterling Scholar competition recognizes high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and involvement in their communities. The success of PCHS students at the regional level reflects their hard work and the support of the school’s faculty and community.
