Masks Required in Schools Through End of School Year

The Utah Legislature passed House Bill 294 in March. Most people are familiar with the part of the bill that says the state can no longer require masks in most public places after April 10.

But the mask requirement stays in place for K-12 schools until June 15. Local officials, like a school board or county council, do NOT have the legal authority to end the mask requirement in schools before this date. Public health officials asked the Legislature (and the Legislature agreed) to keep a mask requirement in place for the following reasons:

2021-2022 Kindergarten Enrollment

Park City School District’s Kindergarten Enrollment for the 2021-22 school year is now open.

Students must live in the Park City School District Boundary to enroll. Use this link to check which is your boundary school: PCSD School Site Locator

Students must be 5 years old on or befo­re September 1.

You will need the following required documents to upload during the online enrollment:

  1. Student’s Birth Certificate.

  2. Student’s Immunization Record (your student will not be able to attend unless they are current on all required immunizations or have an Immunization Waiver on file with the district.) IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

  3. Proof of Residency Requirement Form, with 3 forms of approved Proof of Residency. PROOF OF RESIDENCY FORM

Early Learning

Park City School District Preschool

The application period for the Preschool Lottery has closed.  If you missed the application deadline, you may contact Dena Housel at 435-645-5600 ext 1443 after March 5 to see if there are any preschool spots available.  If your student is awarded a spot via the lottery, you will be notified by email and you will be provided a link to complete the enrollment via InfoSnap.  You will need to upload the following documents to complete the process: Proof of Residency, Birth Certificate, and Immunization Records.
The $50 *application fee will be charged with your first month’s tuition in September.

Dual Language Immersion Lottery

Utah Dual Language Immersion (DLI) is a state supported program in which students spend half the day in English with one teacher and half the day with another teacher in a second language. Park City School District offers programs with Spanish and French as second languages. The mission of Dual Immersion is to prepare linguistically and culturally competent students who can successfully compete in a complex global economy. Master Planning Moves Forward

Over the past few years, a team of industry leaders have been collecting feedback from the community to create a comprehensive plan for the future of learning in Park City. This team has spent hours planning, listening, surveying, updating and sharing. Their Master Planning Proposal was presented to the Board of Education in May of 2020. The presentation highlighted the various projects and needs the district will address in the upcoming years.
