The Board of Education reviewed the first draft of the Reopening Schools Plan at their meeting on July 21, 2020. Information on Park City School District’s Ready to Return Plan can be found here.
Returning to Full-Time, In-Person Instruction
As a result of our collaboration with health agencies and the hard work of our educational Return to School Task Force Teams, we plan to open for full, in-person instruction for all Park City School District students. Our first day of the 2020/21 school year will be August 20, 2020, for K-12th grade students for in person learning and August 24, 2020 for remote learners.
Highlights of Our Updated Return to School Plan:
In-person, full-time school will begin August 20 for K-12th grades following our regular school calendar.
Families can choose a fully online school option, if they prefer. Students will not lose their seats in their 2020/21 school if they choose this option.
Throughout the global pandemic, health conditions have frequently changed, and we are prepared to adapt along with them. Park City School District has worked on backup plans and scenarios to mitigate risk to our staff, students and community while planning our return to school for in person learning on August 20, 2020.
